Coverage Announcements

Greetings Pagan Podcasters!

In an effort to make it much easier to announce what events you are covering and give you much more control over the information promoted via the Website, I have installed an Events plugin. You should see an Events plugin when you login to the dashboard of PaganPodcasting.org (click Dashboard after logging in). Here you can add your own event, supply whatever information you want or just have it link to a web page. Just note when you add an event, it defaults to “Draft” instead of “Public” in case you make a typo. Remember, only events set to “Public” will appear in the list of events being covered, and only events with addresses will appear in the map.

I’m sure we’ll all agree this is much nicer than having to manually edit Google maps and all the fun stuff that created, like someone randomly saving road trip directions onto our official map :D .

For everyone who previously submitted entires, I just directed entires to the official web pages I could find for those events. Feel welcome to edit and have it point to your show’s stuff instead. Be aware, there are events for which many podcasts are covering (for example: Pagan Spirit Gathering) so please play nice, not that it has ever been a problem :) .

I also updated our comment system to Disqus so it will be more awesome. You can subscribe to comment threads and all that. It’s the same comment system Patheos uses. If you have any questions or comments, just drop a comment :) .
